Product Description Dens-Shield® tile backer is one of the most unique products in the tile marketplace today. Dens-Shield is designed for use as a substrate for tile walls, ceilings, and residential and light commercial floor applications in high-moisture areas. The water-resistant treated core, penetrated front and back by glass mats, is 33 percent lighter than cement board. The unique construction (an outer acrylic coating that is heat-cured over glass mats that penetrate a patented treated core) makes it a preferred product for any application in high-moisture areas. Dens-Shield outperforms cement board and is easier to install. |
