Suncoast - Insulation

SUN-SYSTEM

Meets Your Requirements
Sun-System spray-applied insulation is easy to apply as the natural fibers fill in cracks, seams and
voids creating a monolithic coating which assures a consistent R-value.  This coating also serves to reduce air infiltration and eliminates condensation, the major cause of degradation of R-value.  Its natural wood fibers are elastic and will adhere to a variety of shapes and will not lose its hold over the long-term.
Where You Need It
Because it is a spray, Sun-system will coat evenly on virtually any properly prepared surface.  The special liquid adhesive will adhere to wood, steel, concrete, glass and other construction surfaces.  The surface has a textured, carpet-like look which can be altered by rolling, tamping, painting or over spraying to suit decorating requirements.  It is available in white and light desert tan.  Some custom colors are available upon request.
Safe And Effective
This product is a natural organic wood-fiber insulation and does not contain asbestos, fiberglass or mineral wool.  It is odorless and non-toxic.  The wood fibers are blended and treated chemically to increase resistance to fire, mold and mildew and are non-corrosive.
Where It Is Used
Sun-System can be used in Auditoriums and Theaters, Radio and TV Stations, Apartments and Office Buildings, Hotels, Motels, Condominiums, Indoor Pools and Recreation Facilities, Supermarkets, Malls and Underground Parking Ceilings.  Sun-System is the right product for projects that require high thermal efficiency or high acoustical control.  It is also used as spray back where asbestos has been removed from the structure.

Acoustics
The soft resilient fibers absorb sound energy making Sun-System and excellent choice for music halls, auditoriums, sound studios and other public places.  Up to 75% of reflected sounds may be absorbed with density levels of 2.9-4.36 lbs./cu. ft.
Insulation / Condensation
The tightly laced fibers provide excellent insulation against both heat and cold.  This in turn eliminates the formation of condensation in most buildings.  When used in buildings such as indoor pools and ice arenas it can actually reduce ventilation requirements, cutting expenses.

SUN-GUARD II

High Performance
Sun-Guard II is a dry, natural organic insulation which offers a blend of wood fibers, dry adhesive and fire resistant chemicals.  It can be applied to virtually any properly prepared construction surface such as, wood, glass, steel, concrete and sheet rock forming a monolithic coating.  Because it is sprayed on it will conform to variety of sizes and shapes, molding itself to the correct form.

Sun-Guard II seals cracks and holes around baseboards, ducts, plumbing and electrical outlets and any other irregularities.  It sprays on evenly allowing no compressed areas or voids.  The R- value remains constant with no future degradation.  The tight fiber weave prevents sound leaks or air infiltration and condensation.

Its ability to cover evenly creates a highly efficient thermal barrier.  A series of tests of identical buildings showed wood fiber insulated buildings saved 32% of the KWH usage expended by buildings using conventional insulation.

Fire Retardant
Sun-Guard II Insulation rates well within the Class "A" noncombustible rating of Section 3.6.1 of the Federal spec.  SS-S-111B.  The permanent bonding and dense compaction results in a flame spread of less than 15 when tested by an Independent Laboratory.  The fire-retardant chemicals are permanently impregnated into the hollow fibers.

Benefits
Sun-Guard II offers the superior performance demanded by architects, designers, owners and occupants.  Its ability to be sprayed on and dry within 24 to 48* hours ensures that it will not interrupt the flow of construction.  The ease of application saves time and labor as opposed to the traditional cutting and trimming required by more conventional processes.  The elasticity of the wood fibers guarantees that the insulation will remain firmly in place providing years of high grade protection against fire, temperature transfer, condensation and noise.  Over the years occupants will receive the benefits of lowered heating and cooling expenses and reduced sound transfer and air infiltration.

Sun-Guard II Spray-On Insulation saves time, labor and money while providing Class A protection.

*Drying time may exceed 48 hrs. depending on thickness, climate conditions and air movement.
